Help Provide a Strong Foundation for Families in Your Community

When you host a Prime Time reading program you’re helping children build important early literacy and critical-thinking skills, while engaging families in your community. During a Prime Time program, a storyteller reads a children’s book and then families are guided through discussion to personally connect with literature through open-ended questioning. These programs model strategies for continued family bonding through literature and provide families critical information for continued reading.

Our Programs

Prime Time Family

Prime Time Family reading programs are designed to engage 10 to 25 families and their six to 10-year-old children in reading and discussion. Interactive storytelling and group discussion takes place in one 90-minute session per week for six weeks.

Boxes are made available at no cost to partners and families and distributed twice a year.
